Before the treatment of desilter, if there is a desander , it can effectively remove front mounted among a large number of particles in the mud load, improve the work efficiency of the mud removing device. In the high speed drilling, especially in the loose soil of shallow well section, usually using large diameter drill bit, it will produce a large number of cuttings, which may lead to the occurrence of “rope”emissions in a mud cleaner port, so it need a desander as upstream of desilter, it can provide greater volume capacity to carry out the separation of coarse cuttings.

Only if the desander cleared large particles of high concentration in the fluid drilling cuttings, desilter can deal more effectively in the overflow sand.If a slow drilling speed per hour can produce about half a ton of chips at most, a desilter can handle all cycled drilling fluid, then turn off the desander.
