In the oilfield oily sludge treatment project, there are two sludge treatment processes, one is the oily sludge using washing method, and the other is the oily sludge using pyrolysis method. What is the difference between the two sludge treatment processes? How to choose the two sludge treatment methods?
How to choose oily sludge using washing method and oily sludge using pyrolysis method
The choice of sludge treatment process is mainly based on the customer’s treatment purpose and the level of oil content in the sludge.
1. If the customer’s oily sludge contains high crude oil content and wants to recover crude oil, it is more appropriate to choose the oily sludge using washing method.
2. If the customer has low crude oil content in the oily sludge and the customer wants to meet the national environmental protection standards, then the oily sludge using pyrolysis method will be selected.
Oily Sludge Using Pyrolysis Method
Oily sludge using pyrolysis method is mainly to first separate the oily sludge through a shale shaker to remove large solids, and then transport it to a closed rotating processor through a conveyor belt. During the rotating process, the oily sludge is heated to 450°C. -500℃ for oil sludge separation treatment, the volatilized oil and gas are recovered through the condensation of circulating water, and the treated high-temperature sludge is discharged after being sprayed to cool down.
Advantages: high-temperature calcination is helpful for the crystallization of harmful substances, the sludge treatment effect is good, and the hydrocarbons can be partially recycled, which can achieve agricultural soil indicators.
Disadvantages: high reaction conditions, complicated operations, large equipment investment, high operating costs, high energy consumption, difficult crude oil collection, low processing efficiency (about 5 tons/hour), and relatively high processing costs. Poor handling is prone to secondary pollution.
Oily Sludge Using Washing Method
Oily sludge using washing method is mainly to dilute the oily sludge with a certain amount of clean water and then heat it. During the heating process, a certain amount of chemical reagents are added to repeatedly wash the paint to promote the desorption or aggregation and separation of the oil from the solid surface. Realize the three-phase stratification of oil and cement, the top layer of crude oil, the middle layer of water, and the silt stratum, and realize the purpose of crude oil recovery, silt dehydration, and water reuse.
Advantages: low energy consumption, low investment, crude oil can be recovered, high processing efficiency (about 20 tons/hour), economical, efficient and easy to put into production;
Disadvantages: The treatment effect is relatively low in thermal analysis, but it can meet environmental protection requirements;
