Mud gas separator is a special equipment for the primary degassing of gas intrusion drilling fluids. It is a very useful mud gas separator. The liquid gas separator is divided into normal pressure and pressure according to pressure. Two types of automatic control. The following editor will introduce to you the working principle, characteristics and installation method of the liquid-gas separator.
The working principles of liquid gas separator are as follows:
How Does a Mud Gas Separator Work?
The gas intruded drilling fluid enters the separator tangentially from the liquid inlet of the separator, and falls on a series of specially designed internal baffles along the inner wall. Large exposed surface area, downward flow, causing turbulent flow, separating gas from drilling fluid. The free gas is discharged through the gas outlet on the top of the tank. The length of the exhaust pipe is determined and equipped on site and led to a safe place. The degassed drilling fluid is discharged into the circulation tank.
Work principles of mud gas separator:
1. Themud gas separator uses bottom drainage to control the working liquid level to ensure a constant liquid level in the separator and solve the problem of sand accumulation in the tank at the same time;
2. There is a special channel for gas separation in the mud gas separator tank, and the gas is emptied smoothly, which improves the gas treatment effect;
3. The mud gas separator uses a combination of centrifugal separation, physical shock separation, vacuum separation and other separation technologies to ensure the gas separation effect;
4. Each bend of the mud gas separator supply pipe is equipped with a buffer device and a replaceable impact-resistant baffle is installed, which can be regularly inspected and replaced according to the wear and tear, which prolongs the service life of the equipment;
5. Mud gas separator is manufactured and treated with special materials as a whole, which can completely prevent the damage to the equipment by the gas.
