Share an article about requirements for mud tanks. The customer are looking for 500 BBL Rectangular Mud Tanks and Vertical Storage Tanks Including 10hp & 15hp Mud Agitators , 8x6x14 Pump 150hp with motor and 6”Mud Hopper. the details as follow:
1. Rectangular Mud Tanks ( 500 bbl rectangular storage tank )
Dimensions: 12 m Length x 3 m width m x 2.5 m height
All steel material will be grade A36 or Equivalent;
Tank base constructed with 200 H beam covered with 10 mm mild steel, designed with 10 cm;
height sump to avoid any dead volume;
Side Shell constructed with 8 mm crumpled steel plate with one manhole;
Tank top closed constructed with 8mm mild steel plate with manhole;
Tank complete with 24” side man-hole
8” flanged suction, 6” flanged discharge line reduced to 4” low level gun-ring c/w eight x 1.5” nozzles;

ISO container blocks for lifting
Each tank certified from third party (Hydro test and Load test followed by MPI)
All tanks should be grit blasted to an S.A 2.5, leaving a clean, rough profiled surface in order to receive the first coating both inside and out.
Internal coating
The tank internal coating would be carried out with single coat of 350-300 micron
Finish coat : 7443 Sigmaguard CSF – color Green
External Coating – 3 coat epoxy system
Primer : 7430 Sigmacover 630 – color dark gray or light gray – 50µ DFT.
Intermediate: 7430 Sigmacover 630 – color dark gray or light gray -125 µ DFT
Finish coat : 7523 Sigmadur Gloss – color paint-100 µ DFT
2. Vertical Storage Tanks (500 bbl vertical storage tank) :
Vertical Storage Tanks 3.6m diameter x 9m high.
All tanks will be fabricated with bottom skid and fitted with submerged sump, 8” – 6” gun ring c/w 8 x 1.5” nozzles, high level fill pipe, 3” vent pipe, 24” side positioned manhole and 18” top manhole.
Other specifications in regards to Steel type and Coating is similar to above mentioned as rectangular tanks.
3. Mud Agitators
Mud Agitators Power: 10hp & 15hp, 380v 50hz Horizontal mud agitator
the impeller style of mud agitator is flat canted, the diameter is 36″.
4. Mixing Hopper
The Mixing Hopper’s main features are:
Rapid and complete mixing of dry or liquid additives into fluid system;
Low pressure loss; Skid mounted for easy installation and transportation.
Venturi / diffuser type mixer. A TriMix diffuser made of durable polyurethane;
Work table for easy operation; Cam lock quick connect hatch;
Operating pressure 2-4 bar; Durable, weather resistant, stainless steel construction;
